The streetlights cast a sickly yellow on the wet asphalt, paintin' the world in shades of gray and blue. Shadows dance like living things, devourin' every corner. A low rumble echoes through the pavement, a symphony of check here sirens and distant shouts. I shuffle down the alleyway, keepin' to the shadows, my heart thumps like a drum solo in my chest.
